Ciena Capital, LLC

Client

Ciena Capital, LLC et al prior to filing Chapter 11 in September 2008 was one of the largest Small Business Administration lenders and loan servicers in the nation.

Challenge

In September 2008  Ciena Capital, LLC et al determined it needed to file Chapter 11 to provide necessary financial  relief to the business issues being faced.  Since the lending markets for SBA loans had been substantially reduced, the ability to generate new business was severely limited.  The Debtors engaged Bridge as financial advisor to assist in the filing of Monthly Operating Reports (“MORs”), assist in the review of intercompany balances with other Debtor and nonDebtor entities and such other financial Analysis and support as the Debtors request.

Solution

Bridge assembled a team of financial professionals familiar with loan servicing.  This team analyzed the Debtors financial circumstances to respond to questions and actively participate in the oversight and management of financial matters related to the Chapter 11 process.

Results

Bridge completes all monthly Operating Reports required by the United States Trustee.   In addition, Bridge assists the Debtor in reconciling claims against the estate, realizing value for assets and coordinates all financial information reporting to third parties.
